Dynamic query Placements in Playlists can potentially send an infinite number of videos to the Player for playback. When creating or editing a Playlist you can control how many videos from the Dynamic Placement will be played back before moving to the next Placement.
Note: Setting a limit on the number of videos to be returned from the Dynamic Placement is also known as "Capping".
Limit Videos Returning from Dynamic Placement
To limit the number of videos returning from a Dynamic Placement, perform the following steps:
- Access the Playlist edit page by either editing it or creating a new one.
- Go to the required Dynamic placement in your Playlist and enter a numeric value in the 'Videos to Request' field to limit the number of videos to playback from this placement.
Note: You can repeat this step for all your Dynamic Placements within the Playlist.
- Click on 'Save'. Your dynamic placements are now limited to return a defined number of videos per placement.
