How to Report a Video Comment

What are Reported Video Comments?

When a viewer comes across a video comment that is either inappropriate, offensive or spam have the ability to report the video comment for additional review.

Important! When a video comment is reported by 3 logged in viewers (meaning they were logged into Open Voice using an identity provider), the inappropriate Video Comment will be removed temporarily from the Open Voice pane and unavailable for viewing until it is reviewed and reapproved by a moderator.

 

 

How to Report a Video Comment

The following article describes how to report a video comment from the following devices:

 

 

Desktop

To report a video comment on desktop devices, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the Open Voice pane and hover over the required video comment.

  2. Hover over the top right corner of the video comment card and click on 'Report' from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select a reason for reporting the video comment by clicking on the relevant option according to the following options:

    • It's spam - Select this option if the video comment to be reported is obviously not relevant to the main topic, contains promotion of some goods or brand etc.
    • It's inappropriate - Select this option if the video comment to be reported contains coarse language, nudity etc.

      The video comment is now reported and sent for moderation.

      Note: A 'Moderated' stamp (Moderated_stamp.jpg) on a video comment card means this video comment has already been reviewed and approved by the moderators.

 

 

 

 

Mobile

To report a video comment on mobile devices, perform the following steps:

  1. Click on the Open Voice pane. The Open Voice pane is displayed in the full-screen mode.

  2. Click on the menu icon (Mobile_Menu_icon.jpeg) in the top right corner of the video comment card and select 'Report' from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select a reason for reporting the video comment by clicking on the relevant option according to the following options:

    • It's spam - Select this option if the video comment to be reported is obviously not relevant to the main topic, contains promotion of some goods or brand etc.
    • It's inappropriate - Select this option if the video comment to be reported contains coarse language, nudity etc.

      The video comment is now reported and sent for moderation.
