How to Create a User

What is a User?

Users are accounts generated by Company Administrators for a specific Company.

 

Create a User

This process only describes mandatory steps. Each image is followed by a step-by-step description.

To create a user, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to the Portal by clicking here.

  2. Hover over 'ADMIN' in the Portal menu and select 'USERS'. The users page is displayed.

  3. Click on 'CREATE NEW USER'. A user page is displayed.

  4. Apply the required fields according to the following table:

    Field Name Description
    First Name Enter the first name of the user who you are creating this account for.
    Last Name Enter the last name of the user who you are creating this account for
    E-Mail Enter the e-mail address of the of the user who you are creating this account for

    Note: This will be the email they will use to log into the portal and/or white label site.
    Company Group
    Click on this field and select the required Company Group tags that will be associated with this user.
    Phone

    Optional: Enter the user's phone number.

    Address

    Optional: Enter the user's physical mailing address.

    Note: The most common use is to enter the user's company address.

    Country

    Optional: Enter the user's country.

    Interests

    Optional: Enter a short description of this user's interests.

    Role

    Enter the role you wish to assign to this user.

    Allow Main Portal

    Optional: Check this box to activate the user's access to the main portal.

    Language

    Check this box to leave the default language to the user's browser language.

    Note: Deselect this check box to select the required language from a drop down list.

    Time Zone

    Check this box to leave the default timezone to the user's browser timezone.

    Note:  Deselect this check box to select the required timezone from a drop down list.

    Password

    Enter an initial password for the user.

    Note: The password is case sensitive and can include numerical and/or special characters.

    Note: The password can be changed after the user has logged into their account.

    Confirm password
    Repeat the entered password for the user.
    Assigned Companies
    Click on this field and select companies that will be assigned to this user. This will allow this user and credentials to access any of the assigned companies.
    Company

    This will default to the company your user account is created under.



  5. Click on 'Save". Your User can now work within your Company account.
