The Player Domains Report illustrates a specific player belonging to 1 company and that domains's metrics.
Note: The difference between the Domains Report and Player Sites Report are the levels of granularity. The Domains Report will showcase the encompassing domain (ie: google.com) where the Sites Report will showcase subdomains within a larger domain (ie: maps.google.com).
Adjusting the Player Domains Report
To adjust the Player Domains Report, perform the following steps:
- Log in to the Portal by clicking here.
- Click on 'Analyze'. The Analyze page is displayed
- Click on 'Sites' and 'Player Domains'. The Player Domains page is displayed.
- Enter a Player name in the Filter field. When typing, the field will autocomplete and display a list of players in the drop down menu you can choose from. This will define the data presented to the scope of the selected player.
- Click on the calendar icon to select a Date Range to display.
- Click on the globe icon to select a Timezone to display.
Understanding the Player Domains Report
The name of the Domain.
The total number of times a page made an attempt to load a player.
Note: This field corresponds to the page or media slot impressions.
||The total number of advertising calls the Player receives a response to a specific domain.
|Ratio Player Displays to Player Impressions
The percentage of times the player Loaded, subtracted by the number of Failovers, and divided by the number of requests for a specific domain.
Note: (Loaded-Failovers)/Requests. These numbers can be found on the Player Ad Timings Report.
||The total number of times that a Fallback ad was used for a specific domain.|
|Ad Fallback Rate
The percentage of the total number of impressions that a Fallback ad was used for a specific domain.
Note: This percentage will only tally if the Fallback Extra is used. Otherwise the default is 0. For further details, see How to Configure a Fallback.
The total number of times a discrepancy was found between the Player and the macro reported by the domain.
Note: A site mismatch occurs when the stated site according to the media server and the actual site the system detects where the unit is running are different and do not come from the same domain.
Note: The Site Check option needs to be switched on for the player in order for this to be calculated.
|Average Player Load Time
The average amount of time that it took to load the player.
Note: Players should ideally take less than 3 seconds to render on a specific domain.
The number of times an ad started playing.
|Ad View Rate
The ratio, denoted as a decimal, of the number of times an ad that started playing to the number of domain impressions.
|Ad Complete Rate
The total percentage of ads that reached completion state of 100% from an ad start.
Note: Ad Completes/Ad Starts.
||The total number of times a non-ad (video) started playing
The total number of times a non-ad (video) reached a completion state of 100% from a non-ad (video) start.
|Overall Ad Click Rate
The percentage of Overall Clicks while the ad was in play over the total number of Ad Starts.
Note: Overall clicks is determined by any user interaction with the player while the ad is in play such as playing/pausing, adjusting sound, and clicking through to a third party site.
The actual profit of the player on a specific domain.
Note: Dependent upon the number of impressions, ad starts, and ad campaign's CPM value.
