How to Select Permissions for Your Role

To select permissions for your role, perform the following steps:

  1. In the Role Details page, go to the required entity that you want to set permissions for.

  2. Select any of the relevant permission check boxes according to the following options:

    • READ - Select this permission to allow your role to view existing entities in the system.
    • WRITE - Select this permission to allow your role to edit existing entities in the system.
    • CREATE - Select this permission to allow your role to create new entities in the system.
    • DELETE - Select this permission to allow your role to delete existing entities from the system.
    • REPORTS - Select this permission to allow your role to view reports.

      Note: If you select a permission that has dependent permission(s), you will see a notification with a list of dependent permissions. Click on 'CHANGE' in this notification to select the permission you want and dependent permissions.

      Note: Selecting a permission automatically selects all related permissions nested under it.

      Note: You can only see entities and permissions your user's role allows you to see.


  3. Optional: Click on the required entity check box to automatically select all the permissions nested under it.

  4. Optional: Click on a required check box to select a permission nested under one of the permissions described in step 2.

    Note: Selecting a nested permission automatically activates its host permission above.

  5. Optional: Click on the selected permission check box again to deselect the permission.
