How to Create a New Inventory Source

To create a new inventory source, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the Video SSP platform by clicking here.

  2. Click on the 'Inventory' in the Video SSP platform menu and select 'Inventory Sources'. The inventory sources page is displayed.

  3. Click on '+ New Inventory Source'. A new inventory source page showing the 'General' tab is displayed.

  4. Enter a name for your inventory source in the 'Inventory Source Name' field.

  5. Select a status for your inventory source according to the following options:

    • Live - Select this option to activate your inventory source for receiving ad requests and serving impressions.

    • Paused - Select this option to deactivate your inventory source and stop ad serving through it.

  6. Apply optional fields according to the following table:

    Field Description
    Channel Name Enter a custom channel name to be displayed in reporting instead of the site domain.
    Site Verification Select the site verification type for your inventory source according to the following options:

    • Automatic - Select this option to automatically verify if the site where the ad request is coming from matches the domains list in your inventory source.
    • Page URL Override - Select this option to enable your inventory source to accept any domain from a trusted partner.
    Start Set a start date and time for your inventory source to be enabled to receive ad requests / serve impressions.
    End Set an end date and time for your inventory source to be enabled to receive ad requests / serve impressions.
    Limit Under the 'Impressions' field, set a number of impressions to be served by this inventory source. Then, set the periodicity of impressions serving using a drop down menu according to the following options:

    • Total - Select this option to set a total number of impressions to be served for the life of your inventory source.
    • per Day - Select this option to set a number of impressions to be served by your inventory source per day.
    • per Week - Select this option to set a number of impressions to be served by your inventory source per week.
    • per Month - Select this option to set a number of impressions to be served by your inventory source per month.
    Default Cost Model Select a cost measurement type for your inventory source using a drop down menu according to the following options:

    • CPM - Select this option to set CPM cost model for your inventory source. Then, enter the value in dollars in the 'Price' field.
    • Revenue Share - Select this option to set Revenue Share cost model for your inventory source. Then, enter the value in the 'Percentage' field.

      Note: A cost model in an inventory source is set for tracking/reporting purposes only and does not affect media transactions in the Video SSP platform.
    Advanced Cost Model Allows you to define a cost model that is applied to a specific period of time only.
    Marketplace Eligibility

    Define if your inventory source will or will not be used in a marketplace by selecting a relevant radio button according to the following options:

    • Enabled (default) - Select this option to enable your inventory source for use in a marketplace.
    • Disabled - Select this option to prevent your inventory source from being used in a marketplace.

    Note: A disabled inventory source can only be monetized by direct inventory campaigns.

    Reserve Price #1

    Define the "floor" price for any impressions from your inventory source that will be sold via a connection in a programmatic marketplace.

    Note: This field is available only if marketplace eligibility status for this inventory source is enabled.

    Note: Any impressions funneled from the Inventory Source to a corresponding Connection must be sold at least $.01 above the Inventory Source Reserve Price.

    + Reserve Price Add another reserve price for your inventory source.
