Marketplace Creative Review

To approve creatives associated with either digital ads or RTB ads (for approved buyers):

  1. Navigate to Campaigns > Creatives.

On the Creative Review screen, sellers can review submissions from participating buyers, who send Video SSP unique IDs for each creative they bid with via a creative ID parameter. Video SSP tags each creative with an advertiser (e.g., Apple) and brand value (e.g., iPhone) within 12 hours of receiving it. After the advertiser / brand values are applied, you can see the creative, preview it, and decide whether or not to approve it. All publishers selling in the Video SSP Marketplace have the ability to preview and approve ads sent from other systems.

During creative review you can:

  • View the linear creative
  • Test the click through
  • Check the Video SSP Creative ID
  • Approve or reject the creative

Setting up auto-approval for select buyers

Publishers can define auto-approval settings for ads when the buyer is bidding via bid URL (from participating DSPs) (either manual or automatic). For more information, see Marketplace > Buyer Review.

Best practice: Set up auto-approval for as many trusted buyers as possible to maximize your revenue and fill rate.

Note: Ads from DSP buyers that are approved but not granted Auto-Creative Approval status also appear in the Creative Review tab.

Approving creatives

The Creative Review panel shows creatives from both the Video SSP platform and from RTB ads (from buyers)).

Ads are divided into three lists, based on status:

  • Awaiting review - creatives that have not yet been reviewed.
  • Approved - creatives that have been reviewed and are ready to serve.
  • Rejected - creatives that have been approved

Note:
Creatives can be moved from the Awaiting Review tab to either Approved or Rejected, but cannot be moved back. For each live ad in the buyer's account, you can approve buyer access to All Connections, Some Connections, or No Connections (using options under the gear icon for each ad, as described below).

  • Only buyers appear in this list
  • There is one row per ad (for each buyer)
  • Approvals take place on a per ad basis (not per buyer)

To preview a creative, click the preview icon in the Creative column:

When you click the icon, the Preview panel opens and displays the creative (and the companion ad if there is one):

Note: If you see “Not available” in either the advertiser or brand column, the advertiser/brand does not appear in our advertiser/brand dictionary.
