The creatives column sets the approving method for creatives. Creatives are buyer objects that contain a video file, click URL and tracking beacons.

  • Auto Approve: Approves new non-RTB creatives automatically.
    • Note: Marketplace connection block lists will still be enforced. This setting also controls default RTB creative settings.

2nd Tier*

The 2nd tier column identifies the buyer as 2nd tier (i.e., non-guaranteed). Non-guaranteed buyers will be given lower priority when deciding which ads to serve.

2nd Tier Ad Decision Logic

  • Video SSP will initially prioritize potential ads to serve based on ad priority, CPM and success rate if yield optimization is enabled.
  • The ad server will then re-prioritize the ads from buyer organizations that are flagged as 2nd tier, such that those 2nd tier buyer ads are given a lower priority.
    Example:
    • The order for a certain ad response is A1, A2, A3, A4.
    • The Ads A2 and A3 are from 2nd tier buyers.
    • Result:  The ad server returns ads in the order A1, A4, A2, A3.

Yield Optimization

  • When Yield Optimization is enabled for the organization, the 2nd Tier buyer flag takes priority over success rate to decide which ads to serve.

    Example:
